Nature
Plants, animals, fungi, ... Think wildlife but domesticated nature also allowed.
Urban Landscape
Town or city. Home or abroad. Not just buildings. Street furniture, people, traffic, markets, noise in an urban setting. Capture the essence of a place.
Made in Wood
Literally anything made from wood. Fork handles anyone?
Rivers and Lakes
Inland waterways, streams, brooks, lakes, even ponds but not sea or beach this time.
Monochrome
Sepia or any single colour is acceptable as well as black & white.
Without the distraction of colour, even simple objects can be fascinating but don't restrict yourself to still life.
Abstract
An "image that does not have an immediate association with the object world". Perhaps a closeup to remove the context from the viewer. It may involve the use of color, light, shadow, texture, shape and/or form to convey a feeling, sensation or impression.
