Categories 2024
This year there is a TV theme to the categories but, have no fear, you will find familiar subjects within each programme. You are encouraged to read the notes!
There are prizes in each of six categories as well as an overall winner, a people's choice and maybe a mystery prize as well.
All Creatures Great and Small
Your familiar Animals category in other words. They may be large, small or tiny. Wild or domesticated. Furry and cute or scary, spikey, slimy, slippery. Don't forget the birds and bees.
This is Your (Still) Life
An opportunity to arrange some inanimate subject matter, natural (flowers, fruit, plants, rocks, shells etc.) and/or man made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes etc.) in an artistic composition.
Planet Earth
Our Landscape category. Includes Seascapes. Can be home or away (another TV programme :). Doesn't need to be taken from space.
Gardeners' World
Photographs of gardens, flowers, vegetables, tools, sheds, etc. with or without gardeners. Preferably taken in the wild - in their natural environment (otherwise it might look like still life ;).
Grand Designs
Buildings basicly. Exterior AND interiors are allowed. Ancient and Modern. Grand or not so grand. Domestic or civic or commercial. Town or country.
Around the World in 80 Photos
Your chance to share your travel experiences. This can be anything travel related, not just holidays or overseas. That bus trip to Bognor, the train run to London for a show, breaking down on the A34. Maybe not that last one. Could be an unsafe situation. Focus.
